Both CD Burner XP 4.0 and ImgBurn support just about any DVD burner. UnlikeThanks a lot for the answers. Think I'm going to go for CD Burner XP 4.0.
the commercial products which clog the registry with inscrutable tables of
supported devices, both freeware products simply have at it, and work very
nicely. CD Burner XP 4.0 can burn CDs or DVDs from ISO images. ImgBurn
cannot. Or, I've not found a way to do so yet... Ben Myers

Good day,
Just bought an Inspiron 1520 and it came with mc Affee, Roxio 9,
Works 8 installed.
I formated the drive to get rid of all these programs I absolutely do not want.
I re-installed XP, the mobo drivers, everything went just fine.
Now I do not want to re-install Roxio and want to install Nero instead
but do not know which version of Nero to install.
I do not want the 8 version as, from what I read, it's quite heavy.
My DVD burner is a PBDS DVD+ -RW DS-8W1P.
Does anybody have the same material with Nero or another burning application running with it ?
I read that CD Burner XP4 supports this DVD burner. Is anyone using it
or nero 6 or Nero 7 or Imgburn ?
Thanks
Looks like a fine program.
