I wouldn't blame your computer. Acronis True Image is infamous for its problems. I
think your Seagate version is equivalent to TI 8 and may not be Vista compatible
anyway. I'm not sure.



I have just succeeded in doing my first image og the Vista partition.
What I did was to download latest version of Seagate disk wizard and install it on
Vista.
It appears to run problem-less: it took only about 6 min. to create a 5GB image.

So do not tell me that True Image is infamous, - as long as you run under Vista.

When my first test was crashing this morning, I was running from a rescue boot disk,
which means under dos, or linux, or what it is.
This doesnot work.
On a new Dell laptop anyway...
