Re: slightly OT

FWIW, during the Beta days, many people reported problems buring a Vista DVD
from the .iso image.

the usual reccomendation then was that many burners had issues at normal
buring speeds when creating the Vista DVD. They were told to slow down the
burning speed as much as possible, down to 2x or even 1x if you could.

trying to make a back up copy of my dell Vista ultimate disk which i am
allowed to do, however if i try and burn it to an ordinary dvd no matter
which writer i use the disk always ends up as a coaster with the "illegal
disk" failed error, however if i burn to a RW dvd it burns ok, now one
would think it's a media fault, but no that burns other stuff ok, it might
br DRM but ultimate allows you to make a back up copy (i made an ISO as
well and tried that but just the same) so now I'm totally baffled
