MS is offering a "retrograde" back to XP from 2 Vista products -- Ultimate
and Business Edition. Looks to me like MS realizes they have a dog here.
Funny thing to me is that they are charging $49.95 for the "recovery" package.
IOW, people spent the big bucks to "upgrade" from XP to Vista and are now
having to spend more bucks to get back to the same place they were.

I am not trying to start a flame war or riot but, has anybody seen or heard
anything about this possibility? And if yes, is MS starting to dump Vista?

Rumor has it that heads were rolling at Microsoft on Friday.

Apparently, Bill Gates had not yet tried Vista, and was going to wait
until SP1 to upgrade from XP Pro, however 6-month reviews at the
development team were coming up and he wanted to get up to speed.

It didn't take long after installing Vista that Bill realized what had
been happening at his monopoly, er... his company. His voice raged
from his office after installing Vista Home Premium.

"WTF !!!! Where the he** is remote desktop, I can't connect to my
home PC... come on guys, this is Vista HOME Premium!!!

He tried to collect himself as he contemplated his cheeseburger, but
lost it again ... "and H E L L O ..., where's the beef? All I see
here is eye candy, what have you mo*ons been doing all this time?".

His voice could be heard as far as Cupertino.

Seldom has Bill felt waves of anxiety this strong washing over him but
he knew he could count on his CEO to handle the situation.

He walked over to the office next door and found him jerking randomly
around his office. "Steve, I need your help", but he didn't answer
because he was playing with his new touch iPod and couldn't hear Bill
over the tunes".

Bill throws Steve out the window. Luckily, some innocent bystander
breaks his fall and he only ends up with a sprained ankle.

So yes, I think what you heard is true -- MS needs to keep a steady
cash flow so the retrograde to XP is only $49.95.

Oh, please!!! You're an idiot if you believe a word of that!!!
