Downloaded JKDefrag yesterday and gave it a try. It worked. Nothing fancy.
Afterward, Windows defrag acknowledged that the disks were defragmented. If you
run the Windows version, it simply launches and runs, giving you no options to
do anything except defrag all the drives attached to the system. The command
line version is intriguing, because it gives a lot of options that the
brain-dead Windows defrag does not have... Ben
Thanks for the feedback. It is precisely those enhanced options
which have me interested. Defragmenting without regard to file
placement doesn't make much sense to me, in many cases at least.
