Sounds great -- I remember the Portege's and they're really cool. I
picked up the new HP Jornada pocket PC on eBay about a year ago for
around $200. The keyboard is too small so I never use it. That small
device had so much functionality in it -- Word, Excel, Outlook, a
modem, PCMCIA slot, hot-swap battery, etc..... If I could hook up a
small full-size keyboard to it I would probably use it.
My name for the Foleo is "Faileo". I mean c'mon, Palm releases a
device with such a targetable name, unbelievable. F = failure, and
other not so nice words.
The good thing is that Palm apps are being ported to Windows Mobile.
Apps like Natara Bonsai and Daynotes, and Agendus. So, moving on from
Palm should be relatively painless. Unfortunately the best Pocket PC,
the Axim, is no longer being made. I am not sure but I think Dell
shafted its Pocket PC customers by not offering an upgrade to Windows
Mobile 6. What does that leave me with -- HP? I don't mind a
fully-converged device if it has a large screen, but I don't think any
of the smartphones have that.
