Re: please help me assess this DELL

For such a nice system, you may want to upgrade to the E6420 processor which
has a better price/performance ratio. Also, your speakers are bottom line,
not important if you don't listen to music much but since you have other
multimedia options, you may want to invest a bit more.

Finally, if this is through Dell Home, there are some $350 off coupons
floating around...you can save $$ there to pay for upgrades!

As for the RAM, I am not an expert but I think you can go up to at least 4GB
on these systems but I'm not sure how many slots there are (2 or 4).

Hello everyone,

I am pasting below the description of a system that is advertised on
the website of a large retailer.

I am not seeing anything regarding how much RAM I will be able to add
in the future if extra RAM is needed. Under Process and Memory, the ad
says " 2GB Dual Channel DDR2 SDRAM at 667MHz- 2 Dimm (Shared)". Should
I conclude that more RAM is not an option on that system?

Many thanks for your help.
