Well, the reason I need to know is that I bought McAfee's full Security
Suite at Staples, essentially for free- it was $69, minus an instant $10
rebate, and the balance will be covered by 2 rebates- sure it's a pain to
file for rebates, but so far I've always gotten them, though it may take
months- so I'll be all set for a year. The reason I like a "suite" is that
it does have many features- I wish McAfee would let me pay them for say 5
years then I could forget about it.

Well, Joe. If you bought it, you bought it. No need to throw money away.
Though personally, I might disable all features of the suite and just use
the anti-virus program, though I'd expect the program to whine and nag you
about it.
When it comes time to renew again, pop back in here for suggestions if you'd
like.
Kind of stuck with it at this point.
