You have to turn on legacy USB emulation, then it MIGHT work.

Yes but I got so used to it that it was very fast. Remember the
mainframe green screens? Some applications are much faster on the
green screens once the user has experience with it.

The biggest downside to the activate one / deactivate the other is
that my wireless keyboard isn't recognized whn I am in the bios (is
this usual?), so I have to use Dell's USB keyboard to do the bios
switching.

I ended up wiping out the Vista drive and reformatted it. I have a
lot of recorded TV shows and some more I'd like to record so the extra
disk space is welcome. I need to find a newsgroup where I can ask
aobut how to convert the Microsoft format to another format like .wmv.

I have a lot of storage on my systems but I'll save you the list of
them :-) I have been working on staying on topic, and being concise
and not getting into far out tangents. I think I'm doing very well
with that.
