Most actual inspirons (if not all) are not "dockable", you can use a
cheap usb hub to plug an external mouse and keyboard, but you still
have to plug the video and power (yes a 640m has an external video
connector) . I'd go with the latitudes, a bit sturdier and they have
the dock port.

The 640m has all USB ports but says nothing abt being

How important is that dock-ability in your opinion
anyway?
