If you'd like to......
You should be able to go to your local computer store and by a small adapter
that plugs into the notebook 44pin IDE connector that in turn allows you to
connect it to your IDE controller in your 8400 just like another HD.
The adapters can usually be had for around $10

From there, you can do anything you'd like. Partition, format, delete,etc....

Just put in a new Hard Drive b/c first one stated it was corrupt & would
not
load windows, something about the boot. Anyways, I called India, we tried
to
fix the problem but was unsuccessful, hence they sent me a new one. I
still
have the corrupt Hard Drive. Is it possible to: 1. Hook up the corrupt HD
and
retrive my files with the new HD as primary boot without messing
everything
up, if so how? 2. If I can retrive some or all of the files from the
corrupt
HD, how do I clean up the corrupt HD and start a new? I would hate to toss
it,
I need the extra space. I would be willing to wipe it completely clean and
put in a new operatiing system, etc. Upon running a diagnostics check on
the
corrupt HD it stated "media write is protected" and this error caused a
boot
problem so Windows would not load. I can only assume that i downloaded a
protected music file. Please Help!
