I'm looking at a Dimension 9150 desktop and have a couple of questions.
The system docs say it has 1-PCIe x16 video slot, 3-PCI slots, 1-PCIe x1
and 1-PCIe x4 slot.
What are the 1-PCIe x1 and 1-PCIe x4 slots used for?
The 9150 has no PS2 ports. Is there an adapter for an MS Natural
Keyboard or mouse from PS2 to USB?

The 9150 I'm looking at is $769 from the SB site with the following
components. My sister-in-law needs a new 17 inch UltrasharpT 1707FP
Digital Flat Panel, so I will use my old Dell 19" Trinitron and sell her
the 1707FP at cost for $228, including S&H&T. Net cost to me for the
9150 is $554. A good or bad deal? Thanks, Pat

What's not to like. I think that's a very good deal. I'm not sure I
wouldn't just buy a natural USB keyboard to go with the machine, as that
would be a heckuva lot easier to find and use than a PS2 PCI controller
adapter.

Example from a quick googlification:
http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0000642RX/103-6023455-6694244?v=glance&n=172282

I say that because I looked for a PCI PS2 solution recently (from SIIG or
any other vendor), and I had no luck worth mentioning.

Stew

Stew, Thanks for the input. I guess now I'm getting "Cheap" since I have
one laying around :)

Pat

I would keep the PS2 keyboard you have however. (g)

USB keyboards at times are tricky at POST or initial bootup, although it's
moot with the 9150 anyway.

Enjoy the new machine.
