Why not?

I do not plan on browsing the web on a Wi-Fi network, nor check
e-mail. I use the Treo from _anywhere_ which can do either and
doesn't have to be in a hotspot. I don't browse the web with a Treo
(why would I want to?), but I occasionally check my e-mail.

For now my Treo 650 is just fine for my needs. If a new
non-smartphone Palm PDA comes out with voice recording, I might buy
it.

If it doesn't, well then I am set for several years while the
smartphone / PDA market evolves.
