Thanks for your help and advice. I am going to download more this afternoon
and see if i can get it working. The network card looks to be intergrated on
the mother board. I tried the 3Com 3C905 but so far no luck with getting it
to work.

support from any name brand company. It simply does not exist any more,

the dodo and dinosaurs. But the Dell on-line tech support is excellent

terms of drivers and documentation. Your experience thus far is about as
good
as it gets concerning availability of software drivers. Only IBM/Lenovo
is
comparable to Dell.
You want to download one of the driver sets from the video drivers
category for
the GX60 on the Dell web site. They are all variations of the Intel
"Extreme
Graphics" on-board video using the 845 chipset.
For the network driver, you probably want the 3COM 3C905 driver, unless
somebody
swapped out the network card for another one... Ben Myers

saeems to have installed. It asked to restart the computer. Has you
mentioned it does try to find the other harware and I have downloaded what

thought were the correct drivers, but i still get the question mark in the
other device category of the device manager. It asks to go online to look
for updates but i cant go online with that computer because there is no
network adapter.
I hope Dell cares enough for there computer owners to offer technical
service with out charging, even after the warranty is up. Thanks for your
help
