Dell Inspiron 3800 notebook weird fault...

I got this Dell inspiron 3800, it was working fantastically well until
I let my 6yr old daughter had some fun surfing online at those Disney
playhouse online sites listed on the cabletv screen.
One day, she came to me and she cannot used her corded PS2 mouse.
She had spilled some juice onto the keyboard.. and may have shorted the
PS/2 connector.
The notebook was totally down, unable to power up.
And with some experience in dismantling notebook, I tore the unit
apart.. cleaned it out.. and dried the partially soaked PS/2
connectors...
Eventually managed to revived the unit, but PS/2 still no-working, i
got her a USB mouse instead. But days later, the PS/2 port work again.
One thing that doesn't go aways is the flickering of LCD screen.
It started normally, but would flicker if I adjusted the angle of LCD
panel, if too much adjustment, the screen would simply goes "blank" (I
believe CCFL off, but still with dimmed image). without any adjustment,
I just need to power down, and restart, the unit would be functional
again (until I touch the panel).
I tore it apart again.. check on the video connector, and apply hotglue
gun to ensure it won't move at any slightest movement of the lcd
panel.. but still the screen problems never goes away.. Anyone know
what cause this "flickering" or sometimes "fading" problem?
DC-DC charger board? But how does the movement of LCD panel link to it?
LCD Inverter? Motherboard?
I need to know which parts to purchase on ebay to get it fixed.
I think it also shorted my battery life.. before.. it can last >60
minutes, now about 5-10 mins.
Any help?
Regards,
Kevin
