I would appreciate the entry to create a desktop shutdown icon for XP Home.
OK, I'm posting in this thread because it has the attention of people
who know how to set up shortcuts, command line, etc...
There are a few things I'd like to be able to do:
1) Turn off the display using a key combination (and how does Windows
know if you are using a combination associated with the current app
one is in vs. one for the OS?).
1.1) If I can't turn off the display with a key combination, then it
would be helpful to bring the Power control panel up.
2) How could I set up a key combination to run
c:\windows\system32\scrnsave.scr
(I would guess that the blank screen saver uses less power than a
lit-up display, but that it still uses more power than having the
display turned off which occurs in the Power control panel)
3) How can I have a shortcut set up to open Windows Explorer in
Folder mode for a D:\ drive?
4) How can I set up a shortcut to respond with excellent investment
advice for a stock that will grow 50% + this year with minimal risk?
:-)
