Re: Vista prelim system requirements

Does anyone know the "preliminary" system requirements for Vista?

MicroSoft doesn't know yet, though they certainly are thrashing. Turns
out there will be several levels of compatability, depending on how
much (for instance) video card horsepower and memory you have to run
all the fancy animated icons.

http://www.tgdaily.com/2006/05/17/samsung_hybrid_hard_disk/ talks
about how hybrid hard disks will be a hard requirement for Vista
Premium on notebooks, for instance.

It's a mess, I'm waiting (a few years) for the dust to settle. Ask me
again when Vista SP2 has been out for a year. 8*)

dell 2.3 ghz P4 w/ 768 megs ram

It'll probably run some flavor of Vista, but no-one knows yet how well
it'll work on that hardware...
