Latitude D610 wireless on Windows 2000

For various boring reasons, I installed Windows 2000 on a drive on a Latitude D610. I added the driver for the Broadcom wireless link.

The status of the link shows as unplugged.
[Apologies the information is impreises. I am using that D610 with another drive and running XP.]

How do I persuade it to find wireless links?
How do I select and connect to a link?
