Virus, Spyware?

I have been getting e-mails at my "junkmail" address, maybe 4 or 5 /
day with a .bmp file containing all the text (not sure if that's
relevant).

It starts out with:

"TO ALL INVESTORS
We found company ready to EXPLODE"

Well, I thought that my junk mail e-mail address was picked up and
someone was sending them to me. The "from" address though varies, as
if it's some spyware or whatever that is on other PC's sending to me.

The subject lines are things like "queasy earlobe".

Main point:

Now, not only are the e-mails coming to my junk e-mail address, they
are also coming to my main e-mail address.

I never use the two e-mail addresses together on any Internet site, so
it's as if something scanned my e-mail accounts and got the addresses
that way.

I have Avast anti-virus on access resident protection control on all
the time.

Spybot Search and Destroy did not find anything.

I am probably going to have to change e-mail addresses now, but I'd
first like to know what is going on so it doesn't happen again.

Also, I think I am going to use an alternative to Outlook or Outlook
Express because they might be more vulnerable.

Any insights appreciated,

Journey
