I'm not sure of that. I just bought a Dimension 1100n which came with
no bloatware (or OS, for that matter) and a 3-year warranty for $344
delivered. None of the 1100 machines that I could configure then (or
can configure today) came in at less than that price.

Yeah, apples and oranges, and until they have a checkbox that says "no
bloatware, add $50" we won't know how much that really effects the
price.

I also wouldn't say "drastically", as my guess from fiddling with the
numbers is maybe $10 or $15 off for bloatware, and I'd pay that anyday
to _not_ have it.

Of course, I'd be happy if they shipped machines that have "No
Security Subscription" selected with no actual security software
installed, but I guess you can't have everything.
