Hard Disk, Cable

I installed the hard drive that others here responded about.
Everything is good -- the drive is installed, and right now I'm
formatting it using Disk Management.
When I went to put the case on I was having a very hard time and found
out that the data connection to the new hard drive goes straight out,
but the existing drive's connection is at a right angle. It was
preventing the case from closing.
So, I need a SATA cable with a right angle connector. Does anyone
know if there is an adapter to turn it into a right angle one?
Probably better to get a new cable.
What are the dangers if any of leaving the right side of the case
open. It's protected so nothing will bump into it.
Thanks
Journey
