Re: Pros and cons of dual layer burners?

I have been considering buying a Sony DRU 820A burner and would like to get thoughts from you. The price of disks is my main hang-up.

The drive comes with Nero. I've not had good luck with Nero in the past. Would it be required for the dual layer drive, or would any writing software work?

I have a Dell 8300, 3.4 gig processor, 1 Gig of ram, One CD/DVD ROM drive and one CD/DVD+R/RW drive. I'm thinking of replacing the ROM drive with a second burner.

Thanks -- Frank

Nero is not the only DVD burning application that exists for
dual-layer DVD-R's. Do a Google search and look around.
