Re: Start again with XP CD

I want to boot up to the XP CD in my Inspiron 8600. There is just a
splash screen and no POST and the usual keys don't interrupt the boot
up to enter the BIOS. Any hints, please?
A trick I learned years ago that usually works.
Lay your hand across the keyboard, holding down a few dozen keys.
Turn on the power and wait for it to discover that there must be
a problem with the keyboard, and asks you to use the keyboard to
tell it what to do. Lift your hand off the keyboard and choose
the option to get you into the BIOS.
