I can assure you that Dell is abundantly aware of the American consumers
distaste for offshore technical support. I can also assure you that this
situation is not going to change anytime soon. Like their competitors, Dell
has chosen to save millions of dollars a year by using offshore technical
support call centers. These savings are reflected by the current suggested
retail prices of computers, which are low and going lower. It's nothing
personal, it's just business.
