For as long as I've been here (around 6-7 years), the battery warranty has never been beyond 1 year. It would kill them, since the useful life of a battery is around 18 months.I am a heavy notebook user, and my batteries usually last no more than 2 years. Mostly about 15-18 months.

Can someone please post their saved copy of the extended warranty that applied as of January 2003.
I may be paranoid but I suspect that Dell has changed the terms of this extended warrantly ..... unilaterally.
I am dealing with their crack support team out of India .... and getting no where ,,,, They just hang up on me and never return promised phonecalls.
The issue is a failed battery.... I know they currently exclude batteries from the 3 yr warranty ..... but when I bought the warranty in 2003 I do not remember the battery being excluded from the 3 year extended warranty
