The Windows 98 boot floppy is available so people can install Win 98 on older
computers with a BIOS that does not allow booting from a CD-ROM drive. Same
with Windows ME (UGH!), WIndows NT, Windows 2000, and Windows XP, except that
the boot "floppy" for the NT family of products is actually a set of floppy
diskettes... Ben Myers
