Is Dell XPS 600 really too noisy?

am looking to get a system to run Windows XP Media Center. I usually
by Dell, though not necessarily, and I'm looking at the XPS 600 or the
XPS 400. The price different is not a major issue, what I'm worried
about is that I hear that the XPS is very noisy. I'm afraid it would
be too noisy for my work space, which is connected to the living room.

If anyone has experience with it, could you tell me if the noise is a
real issue or you think I could live with it.
