Personally, I wouldn't accept anything beyond even the smallest scratch on
a brand new notebook. I would continue returning the systems until I
received one that was unblemished.
Dell's normal packing materials that I've seen for notebooks don't allow for
this kind of damage (unless the box you receive had been booted around and
crushed), which suggests to me that someone's opinion of 'acceptable'
blemishes needs to be reviewed.
Post back after you take delivery of the third unit. That's the top of the
line Inspiron notebook, is it not?
