I offer this not as a good solutions, but I have seen this done without
any apparent harm. Use the magic of hook pile fasteners, AKA Velcro.
1. Buy some of the wider (1 or 2 inch) Velcro with the adhesive
backing.
2. Find a suitable location with room for the drive and preferable some
air flow for cooling. If there is a second case fan and space at the bottom
of the case, right in front of it is probably the best spot.
3. Clean both mounting surfaces thoroughly
4. Apply a strip (or two) to the drive and the matching strip to the
desired mounting site.
5. Connect your cables and your done.
Not a very elegant solution, but it will work.
