Re: seeking a recommendation for a laptop



You actually got support from Toshiba? They're like David Spade on
the Capital One commercials...instead of saying "NO" the only thing
they say is "go to a local Toshiba repair shop". HP only provides
on-site support for desktops, not laptops...and even that will cost
extra.

I personally tore apart my Toshiba and cleaned the spot where someone
spilled soda on it. Also replaced the battery charger/hard drive
board. Makes a great pseudo-desktop computer, and even works for
about a half-hour with a battery (doesn't charge, though...needs an
external charger).
