Promise controller hd card

Speaking of my old gamer. I bought a promise 100tx controller card to try
and get my old motherboard to recognize more than 130 gigs of my 250 gig
drive. I haven't been able to get it to work on an old XPS400 upgraded to
P31000. I got the drivers to install OK but it still wont recognize the
whole drive any suggestions?\

Thanks

.
