Cyndi,

I'd be willing to be that putting the router back in solves the problem.
I've always had challenges with DSL directly to the computer. Try putting
the router in between and see if the problem goes away.

We have a router but I don't have both hooked up at the same time. I
disconnect the DSL line from the desktop to put into the laptop. How do I
check a network adapter?
