Well, I have been away from the group this weekend with the Hurricane
and all that - turned out to be nada, but who knew - and found this
lovely thread. I love my Nook. I bought it last April before a trip
to Texas for a long weekend and then my California adventure. I have
over 20 books downloaded, some free and others paid for and a couple
of magazine subscriptions. I, too, love reading but had totally
gotten away from carrying a book with me any more but the Nook fits
right into my backpack for the train ride out to Brian's and back and
I love having a book to pour though. I have finally gotten focused on
more 'cloud-based' living and have been in the process of giving my
books to the library we have in my building along with my CDs as I
uploaded them to my laptop and nook and find I listen to the music
more than even while reading more books.
Certainly beats standing outside in the weather with a stinky
sickerette, eh?

Magazine subscriptions too.....?
My 9 year old is always talking about "... in the future.."
We had a discussion last nite about there being no more printed
newspapers.
(I still have one delivered and love it that way..)
I didn't think about magazines.
But, yeah.... they'll disappear too.
