Thoat Cancer Treatments and OOPSS I dropped the ball

Hi all, I promised to let you know about my cancer treatments as I'm
sure smoking had something to do with it.
Well, 39 radiation treatments, 5 chemo treatments, a PEG feeding tube
as no food could pass my throat, no taste buds, no salivary glands as
of yet and a sore throat and mouth that will never go away (at least
it seems like that).
I'm 6 weeks post treatment for stage IV Tonsil/Throat cancer and would
not wish this on any one ever. I won't know if they got it all until
my first PET scan in August or Sept. Then every 6 - 12 months after
for 5 years what I'm told to declare clear! If you're quitting keep
quitting. Never go back and don't think it will miss you!! STOP NOW
AND NEVER GO BACK.
I have lost 40 lbs. due to treatments, sickness and liquid diet since
January. Not the way to lose the 'I quit smoking' weight gain. In
the long run, If I'm healed and cured the extra weight loss is a good
thing but not the journey you want to take.
