Nicole - I've been watching television today - TNT. All those 40's &
50's movies where everybody smokes. Today Walter Pidgeon was smoking
in the courtroom while defending a murderer! It's fascinating. In all
of these old movies, everybody smokes everywhere. It's no wonder
everyone became indoctrinated.

You gotta wonder how much art influenced life - or reflected it ??
If art merely reflected life today........ about 20% of the adult characters
depicted on film and TV would still be smokers. That's clearly not the case
anymore.
Nowadays the smoker is iether "the bad guy" or the "one that's gonna die".
It's way too predictable.
What still strikes me as "strange" is movies made today but set in the 30's
thru 60's - yet everyone *doesn't* smoke everywhere.
