I have always had regular fitness test with my Job. These were always
age related, the older you got the easier on you they were. Well now
evidently in the interests of fairness I now have to be as fit as an
18 year old lad joining the job. I was cheesed off initially at this
new rule but I can see the fairness in it. So I did a VO2 max test on
a covox machine on a static bike and after a quite a bit training and
a huge amount of effort....(I am built for power not marathons)...(or
was at one time)..... I passed the test......Yes you heard it here
first I am 18 again :)...well 42ml of O2 used per kg of body wieght
per minute fit.... an 18 year old could do 60ml/kg/min while reading
the paper :) I wonder what the test results would have been if I was
still doing 2 packs a day ?
Well, you sure *look* 18. ;o)
Congratulations! I'm mightily impressed.
