you are blessed you didn't have a heart attack and having a doctor that can
repair the damage in the blocked arteries. lets hope they find something to
help you with the CHF and least find a way for you to live a healthy longer

We're home (son and me). Wednesday AM I had three stents placed, but
have to go back Nov. 17 for more. :-( The three that were placed
were all put in one artery that was 100% blocked. The doctor said
that blockage didn't trigger a heart attack because surrounding
arteries had had time to compensate for the artery being slowly choked
off.
I go back in Nov. to have one or more stents placed in the left
descending aorta which is currently 80% blocked.
I feel no better today than I did before Wednesday. In addition to
the blockages I've also developed congestive heart failure that was
diagnosed several months ago.
One thing that has really gotten under my skin recently is that every
time a nurse or doctor sits down with me to discuss my health *every
single* conversation has started with, "You HAVE to quit smoking!"
I have no doubt I'd be dead now if I hadn't quit 5 years ago.
