a better laptop, Mac or a PC.  Everybody says: "It depends on how you
are going to use it"  Well, honestly! I have no answer for that.  I
use it for work a lot.  Heavy internet use, and absolutely no games on
it.  I do watch movies on it sometimes on long flights, and as for
music, my built in iPod on my iPhone does the trick, but I still have
over 4000 sons on it

I much prefer Mac. If you buy a PC because of the cost, you might want
to go wtih Linux. Then it comes down to a choice between Ubuntu and
Mandriva, both of which are highly reviewed.
