Re: OT - food - muscles?

This was a rare treat for me. I am sure I will do it on a regular
basis now.

I was already wasted. Everything about that night was great.
I am lucky I remembered some of it.

I was in the grocery store yesterday. The sign in the meat department
said, "fresh, wild caught muscles." I bought some. Flashback I guess.
I read some junk on the internet about how to prepare and eat them.
I should have come here first. I feel like I owe you guys an apology.
You are the best, you know.

I dumped them in salt water in my sink and swished them around. I
threw out any that were not closed.
I steamed them until they opened. They all opened so I didn't throw
out any more.

I put them into a bowl and drowned them in a mixture of lemon juice,
soy sauce and freshly smashed garlic.

I poured a glass of cheap red wine, Bogle Merlot (California).

I pulled off the hairy lips. There was this little, brown, bean-like
thing in the middle. I ate that part. I ate a hundred. A hundred and
three to be exact.

Am I going to die?
