When she opened him up he was found to be full of a particularly invasive cancer, so he was not allowed to come round. Of course we had no idea he was so very ill.
But what a shock it was to us. We adored that dog. He is buried under his tree so he can still keep an eye out for the squirrels! He's like Maude. He hated them.

You were so lucky to have found each other! Shadow will be harassing the squirrels at the Rainbow Bridge with our other beloved friends who have gone before.
