Dear Stephanie, I am so sorry that New York did not do well by you.
It's funny that years ago, more years than I like to remember, I did
the reverse. I shook the California dust off my stilletto heels and
headed to the city of my dreams, New York. I had to leave for a few
years while my then husband was on a futile job search. We came back,
I worked, I wrote, I prospered, and I have never left it since. My
sons grew up and are now professional men. They visit me as often as
they can. We are always in touch by phone and email. And after all
that, I don't smoke anymore. I am so glad that I met you at the small
AS3 meeting at the Chinese restaurant.

I hope that you will be happy and that you will continue on your non-
smoking path. You will always be part of AS3.

And BTW, I am an expert on moving cross-country, having done it with
two growing sons, one dog, three cats and huge amounts of goods and
chattels. New York to West Virginia to Ohio and back to New York. I
know how hard it is, but it can make you stronger.

Bon Voyage.
