When I got this computer a couple of years ago I was using IE for the
browser. Things started going bad and it kept telling me that I had
to add something (I don't remember what) and wouldn't let me open my
favorites. Panicked, I changed to Netscape. Now, I know that support
ended some while back, but it still worked so I didn't care and kept
using it. I need a browser only to store my "favorites" and to open
any links that you all post. So, I don't need anything "slick". As
of yesterday, Netscape seems to have given up the ghost. Today, when
trying to get in so that I could go to one of my favorites I got some
opening page with suggestions of other browsers (I guess that's what
they are) - Firefox, Flock (which they've been encouraging me to
change to since they support stopped), AOL Desktop, Thunderbird (which
touts terrific e-mail client which I don't need I guess because I use
Eudora). IE seems to be working just fine now, but I have lots more
favorites in Netscape and don't know how to export/import them back
and I don't know how to make IE the default anyway. Gawd, I hate
change!!!!! I don't need bells and whistles. I want simplicity!!! I
don't need "photos, friends, videos" "Instant Messaging" and so forth.

Well, I've figured out how to make IE the default browser. Now, if
all of my Netscape bookmarks hadn't disappeared. :o( I was going to
go to Summer's blog because I had a bookmark for it, but.......
Sue - I'm going to go mow the back lawn.
