Well, I had a brush with losing my smobriety this morning and won.  I
had company over last night and in cleaning up this morning I
discovered a totally unsmoked sickerette left behind by one of my
guests.  It startled and surprized me.  I looked at it and held it in
my hand for a moment.  The evil part of my brain [da DEMON] started
telling me I *could* smoke it and it wouldn't matter but my true
nature kicked my *** and stood up and I yelled out NOOO so loud
Lucifer woke up and I crushed that turd and flushed it down the
toilet.  [Go Archie Bunker!!!]

I was surprised at how quickly my brain nearly went goo-goo after 15+
months smobriety for that moment.  I am glad I did what I did and
humbled to realize just how fragile part of my quit actually is.
Thank Goddess for AS3 as I wonder if I could be telling anyone this
story if you all were not here.

One year, five months, two weeks, six days, 11 hours, 36 minutes and
55 seconds. 10729 cigarettes not smoked, saving $3,218.65. Life saved:
5 weeks, 2 days, 6 hours, 5 minutes.

That was nowhere near a "brush with losing my smobriety".
That was feeding the good dog.
Rock on Mike!
