You asked:
"What is stopping us from building on big ass pipe from Baghdad to
Shreveport, and pump that oil over here?"
and I replied
"Maybe it is not your fucking country or oil " I went on further "although
your president seems to think he can invade anyone to get what he wants".
I should of said the rest of the world would stop you ( or I freaking hope
the *** so but lately the UN sits of their freaking asses and let *** go
on). Once you mentioned taking from a smaller country that does not belong
to you your behavior is of what a bully would do.
gas prices comes down to simple supply and demand. they have the supply
and they can demand whatever the hell they want. you don't want to pay...
china will.
Now from what I understand your president ( oilman himself) has a special
relationship with the Saudi Arabia. wasn't it said that Bush let some SA's
out of the country ( special exit) right after 9-11 even though there was
a no fly call? that they were even family of bin laden?
maybe for that and something promised in the future gas will go down.. for
now. but it will be back again.

if people were paying me 10 bucks for a clothespin why would I make more
to lower my own price? because I am nice? I am not that nice and I doubt
they are doing it out of good out of their own hearts.

No where did I call your country a foul name. I did say "Only bullies take
what doesn't belong to them." tell you the truth I did think it ( and your
saying police of the world I was thinking world Mafia), and I think your
president is an ass and I think our prime minister is a suckup ***
because his nose is so far up bush's ass.
Imagine we have a carbon "plan" for 2050! where is the planet going to be
then? but that is after Alberta oil runs out and Harper ( PM) is a good ol
Alberta boy. see? they are all crooks in my eyes.

Governments shielding their people from higher prices might seem like a
good thing right now but sooner or later people are going to have to bite
the bullet and deal with the true cost. We can jump up and down ,threaten
to not buy any on certain days, and hold our breaths but that is only
prolonging the pain.
I balk at paying $1.44 a litre ( $ 5.45 a gallon) but do I have a choice?
and what are those choices?

now on a personal level AZ I told you before if I had a problem with you I
will come to you here. I am not a lurker "I got a similar response from a
lurker" implies you think I am that same lurker or one your 'people' who
e-mail you personally.
I am not. I try to let things go ( not always I can) you weren't just
commenting on a way to transport oil you were saying "What is stopping us
from building on big ass pipe from Baghdad to Shreveport, and pump that
oil over here?" and I hope it is me and people like me who feel you can't
take what is not yours just because you want it.

I NEVER wanted this subject to get so political, and calling other
countries by foul names, Lynn. You might be mad at GW Bush, but I know
you're not mad at my "fucking" country.

What you are attacking or commenting on is me saying why don't we pump
the gas to the states from Iraq. I got a similar response from a lurker
I think. I have no doubt in my mind that the gas prices are politically
motivated, and they should not be. These oil companies have no reason to
increase their prices. Here is the fork in the road that I face: Should
the government interfere and force these companies to cut back and their
prices? Or do I follow my belief that the government does not belong in
the private sector? Right now I am at a huge cross road. I am way to
the right, and would die Republican, but until then I will always defend
your right to say your opinion.

Is my country a bully? You bet it is. We think we are the police of the
world, and I think that is bull***. We have our own problems. Let's
solve these before we look elsewhere, to bully others. I am Republican,
but that does not mean I just agree with everything George Bush does.

And that, my friend was my $.59 cents

Maybe it is not your fucking country or oil . Only bullies take what
doesn't belong to them.
I want to know what Bush had to promise Bin laden's home country because
they are increasing oil production to drive down prices. Noone in their
right minds ( or not promised something huge) would say no to increased
revenue.
we here are paying 1.439 a litre here.
