I too am yet another ex smoker that received an email from FlatironMike .
As a one time June bug it will soon be nine years since I last smoked.
Yes, time goes very quickly as you get older and I thank the day that
I came across AS3.
Since my quit I have been diagnosed with Lung Cancer and Emphysema, but
because I stopped when I did, I am still here, not too good, but still able to give
my family a little more of my company.
With my Seventy Sixth birthday coming up in a few months it is one that I may
not have been able to have had without you people here.

I just got an email from FlatironMike about verifying my information for AS3 and
omigosh, it sent me back in time. I wandered through the quitbuddies site and
through all the pictures of those who have quit with the help of this wonderful
support group. I am effusive about the support one can find here.

I am Yukpa hashi. I quit a long time ago now. In less than another month, it
will be 10 years. I can hardly believe it. I found my picture amongst all the
others. That picture was taken at the home of my grandsons who truly were the
impetus for quitting smoking for good when I did. The eldest grandson is now
graduating from High School! Oh, my, how the time has flown. Truly.

I want to go back and read more of the current posts before I write too much but
I wanted to say hi and congratulations to all of for you courage in quitting
smoking. It may be hard for the moment, but I totally believe it is doable.

I am always sure that I am welcome here. What a great group to belong to.
