Not weight loss buddies. Healthy eating and exercising buddies.
I actually need to gain weight.
But, the weight I'm gaining has been the wrong kind, in the wrong
places.
When I was smoking, the two scoops of ice cream at bed time didn't
"seem" to be an issue.
Now, I see where they are.
I still haven't done what the doctor said to do.
"Go get for fat free frozen yogurt".

That's a problem I have with these "magazine" diets.
Day One
Breakfast:
6 oz low fat yogurt

I'm doomed right there. I do not and will not eat yogurt.

I need to get more exercise and the right kind of exercise.

Me, too. I was riding GMFs exercise bike Wednesday (I do it Mon, Wed
and Fri evenings) and seemed to have messed up my left knee a bit.

Sue, that's what's wrong with "dieting" in general. I simply cannot endorse a diet that requires you to eat a specific food at a specific time of day. Healthy eating is all about making the right choices for a well-balanced and VARIED diet. It's the only way to get the proper nutrition you need.

Having said that, the Dr. Oz books, advocate eating the SAME food for breakfast and lunch every day, thereby eliminating the possibility of making a "bad choice". I do *kind of* follow that, in that I usually eat the same thing for breakfast every day (cereal: hot or cold, 1/2 a grapefruit), and I frequently have minestrone soup for lunch. But I couldn't eat Cheerios every day without getting sick of them, so I put in my variety by changing which cereal I'm going to eat -- as long as it's a healthy, whole grain one. And I do *try* to have the healthy minestrone as many times a week as is practical, but I'm not going to deny myself a lunch date with my best friend, and I'm not going to feel guilty about it, either.
