The doctors are going allow dad to come home, he is palliative care right
now at the hospital and has been for the past two weeks but mom needs to
have extra help in since he gets so stubborn with her and she can't do it
all alone
We did up a schedule and if none backs out right now I will only have 3
days and chose to have them all together to cut out the stress on the
homelife. Good thing I have a wonderful mate who can take over ( hell even
do a better job most days) at home and when he leaves for work the kids
can go right with him and the only time difference is 20 mins :)
I tried to talk Mom into leaving Dad at the hospital where he has the
doctors and nurses right there all of the time but she got mad at me.
apparently alot of people were telling that is the best place to be and
when I told her that she only wanted to hear that I agree with her and not
what others were saying as well. she has herself run ragged and hasn't
been eating. sometimes I feel more like the parent to my parents
We had to finally tell the kids this past week about their papa and
it took 3 times before my oldest got the message. poor little guy. I am
going in tomorrow to learn how to give a diabetes needle than goodness it
is a one a day and not that sliding scale needle he was on
Dad is behaving like an Alzheimer's patient, some days he forgets and
thinks the kids are little and the next he talking gibberish that only he
understands. the doctors figure that he has anywhere from a week to month
left with the sooner being better for him.
Be back by the middle of next week, be good and if you can't be good at
least let me in on the juicy details
