But this is the problem folks. Normally, when this time of year
starts I especially loved getting up with that first cup of coffee,
sitting outside on a beautiful spring morning and diggin the hell out
of that first cigarette of the day.
Now, I haven't experienced a spring morning in a looooonnnnnng time
without that cig and coffee in the morning. The memory of that is
still very strong.
How have you all handled these first occurrences?

I have done well by replacing one addiction with another. (changing
routines sounds better). If it is an oral thing eat some nuts,
jellybeans, sunflowerseeds, whatever makes your mouth happy. If you
hands feel bored, do a crossword puzzle. Read a daily affirmation. A
friend of mine played with silly putty. Then report back so you can
help the rest of us :)
I am doing a presentation next month at a conference, and I have
dreaded sitting down to create my power point because it was always a
chain smoking event. I've started on it and it isn't so bad. Sometimes
I just have to back my ears and do stuff, as mama would say.

hours, 45 minutes and 29 seconds. That means: 727 cigarettes not
smoked, saving $109.17. Life saved: 2 days, 12 hours, 35 minutes.
