starting the Chantix tomorrow

Got the prescription, talked with the dr. who is very supportive (her M-I-L
used Chantix 2 months ago and is a non-smoker now after 40 years). She says
it may take more than one week to get things going and to take it one day at
a time. I love her, she is motivating without cramming things down my
throat.

I have some extra motivation - at 50 years old, the blood pressure is
creeping up (most likely inherited from my mom who had the same thing
beginning around this age) and I started taking Vasotec today after having a
nice baseline heart stress test on the treadmill at the hospital - nothing
bad found which is good)

So I will be popping in around Nov 7th or so once I decide on my final stop
day.

Everyone's stories, praises and rants are wicked supportive and I am looking
forward to starting my own quit meter - I think I will make it a leopard
print one for the bad girl in me.
