Ashley came down from the mountain of enlightenment and opined:
I think it's because you stepped down. When I stepped down from the
21mg patches to the 14mg patches (after delaying it as long as I
reasonably could), I was a complete and total bitch for at least a
week. Worse than usual, even.
That really makes a lot of sense. When I first read it, it got me
thinking. Even though I haven't been smoking, I've been dosing with
just about the equivalent of a pack of cigarettes a day--just about
what my body has been used to. It shouldn't take a rocket scientist
to explain that my body wouldn't be happy with 2/3 of that amount
(just a writer, I guess). Plus, I may have cut the patch a tad bit
small today. It's not an exact science turning a 21mg into a 14, but
I had one more box of ($7.50, by the way) 21 mg. patches and I didn't
want to waste them.
Thanks to all who responded so positively today. I really appreciate
it. I no longer reallyreally want a cigarette, I just want this day
to end :-) I have only one more outing today to practice handbells
and I have no intention of smoking. Maybe tomorrow will be better. I
hope so, because most of today sucked. But, at least I didn't smoke,
so it certainly could have been worse.
Cheers and hugs,
Rob
One month, two weeks, 7 hours, 33 minutes and 28 seconds, dammit!
